New Website Debut

Posted by: AlanPastrana in Untagged  on

First of all Pastrana Unlimited would like to thank everyone who visited and supported us through out the years, here in the States and around the world. We always prided ourselves in having a strong and effective web presence. Our goal is to give the viewer an awesome experience of both new and current customers, especially those who are trying to learn airbrushing. We know there's a lot of competition out there and we really welcome that because it keeps us on our toes. There's plenty of work out there for everyone and we appreciate our many customers who choose us as their custom painter, "thank you very much for keeping the doors open".

Secondly, we're very excited with our new website debute, this is the unveiling of the new  www.pastranaunlimited.com  Our new website brings newer technology to the table, better organization, user friendly navigating, videos imported from you tube, on-line store, airbrush classes, how to demos, and best of all I have full control over it's content and pictures.

For all my fellow upcoming airbrush artist, Pastrana Unlimited did not forget about you. Check out the new "How to Gallery" strictly dedicated to how to's and demos, which will have new demos every month. So be on the look out! We're also coming out with new videos on you tube. Right now we're still working on the on-line store so we can have more videos, t-shirts, clip art, prints, paint and supplies, and much more merchandise for purchase.

For all our motorcycle enthusiast, we are planning to have Harley custom painted tins available for purchase and we will be doing sheet metal swaps for those who are interested.

In conclusion, Pastrana Unlimited is still hitting hard and is not going anywhere anytime soon. I would also like to thank Curt Curseo my previous web designer who did a fantastic job with the old website, I always got complements on it and I will never forget his hard work and dedication, wish you would of continued. be on the look out for new and exciting paint jobs, news, and merchandise coming your way from Pastrana Unlimited. Thanks again and hope to see you soon.

Try using a CS and replace with a BCS needle and nozzle. It's a .5mm which is a larger size and would accommodate thicker viscosity of paint. I've use auto air, PPG, House of kolor to do different eagles.

Hi Alan,
Love the new website. It looks great. Everytime I take the trike out people stop and take pictures. They are amazed at the artwork. The first question is "Who did it?" You and Nory did such a great job. I absolutely love it.

Oops... I forgot, I have just one question about your painting technique.
In your HipHop art video I thought I saw you mix the kandy pagan gold without SG100 just with reducer, I'm right? I doubt...
Thanks

What's up Antonio, I mix my kandy concentrates like anyone else. I'll mix the pagan gold with the sg 100 and then reduce with RU 311. Thanks for purchasing the video, glad you enjoy it. Alan Pastrana.

Thank you very much Alan smilies/cool.gif
I have another question, can you tell me how you vectorise your drawings?
In the "how to's" gallerie >"hip hop rear fender > second picture, we can see you at in computer work (photoshop)but it's not an vector program... Do you draw in photoshop with the pen tool and then export the paths to illustrator? What is the tip please?
Thanks

I work out my size, color, composition, drawing, etc. in Photoshop. Then I import the file into Illustrator, where I convert it into a vector image by either using the pen tool or pencil tool. If you really want to learn more about this you can pick up my new DVD on using plotters and vectorizing images. Look for it on airbrush action.com or coastairbrush.com

Hi Alan,
Thanks for the how to gallery. I've been airbrushing for a long time, and I really think that you could be the very best airbrush artist on earth. But I know there is always some unknown person working out of their garage thats totally awesome. But you just blow my mind with the clean lines from start to finish. I use the bottom feed airbrushes and its cool to see you use them to create such unbelievable work. I do think that I need to switch out my tips and needles more because I have 12 airbrushes and they all seem to have their own unique personalities. Mostly because of clogs, bent needles, and tips that are cracked or burred. Well, I always keep new tips and needles on hand, so I'm switching some of them out tommorow. I really should visit you website everyday before airbrushing. Its great inspiration.

Hey,

I am fairly new to airbrushing (a year and a half, self teaching) and I think you are extremely talented! I have to say, your work inspires me, and also frustrates me, because I cannot wait till I can achieve even a small percentage of your quality! I want to fast forward haha. It astounds me. I live in Canada, but if its ever possible for me to get down your way, I would definitely take one or all of your classes. I also think its so fantastic, and so helpful, that you show your How-To photos. I have learned thus far just by looking at other artist's works and trial and error, and this is such a great help! It's awesome that you support other artists. I was curious what material you use for your masking. It looks like its computer generated stencils, and I know absolutely nothing about all of that technology, but think it looks like such a worthwhile investment (for example, your bricks on the Hip Hop How To, I can't imagine hand cutting each brick and placing it by hand.) So I was just wondering if you could talk a little bit about your process for this. Thanks again, this is the best website I have stumbled across!

Thanks for all your complimets Chelsea. Most of my stencils are designed in Adobe Illustrator CS2 and are cut via a "Rolland" plotter. I have an intuitive DVD on the market which explains the whole process, it's called "How to use plotters and vectorize images". If you're interested I have two copies left here at the shop selling for 30.00 each, Let me know. I also have freehand stencils for sale, which are essential tools for my airbrushing technique. A combination of both of these tools will help you tremendously. I also have a Hip Hop art dvd which will show you how I use these tools. Thanks again, looking forward to hearing from you.
