Most of my stencils are designed in Adobe Illustrator CS2 and are cut via a "Rolland" plotter. I have an intuitive DVD on the market which explains the whole process, it's called "How to use plotters and vectorize images". If you're interested I have two copies left here at the shop selling for 30.00 each, Let me know. I also have freehand stencils for sale, which are essential tools for my airbrushing technique. A combination of both of these tools will help you tremendously. I also have a Hip Hop art dvd which will show you how I use these tools. I have to say, your work inspires me, and also frustrates me, because I cannot wait till I can achieve even a small percentage of your quality! I want to fast forward haha. It astounds me. I live in Canada, but if its ever possible for me to get down your way, I would definitely take one or all of your classes. I also think its so fantastic, and so helpful, that you show your How-To photos. I have learned thus far just by looking at other artist's works and trial and error, and this is such a great help! It's awesome that you support other artists. I was curious what material you use for your masking. It looks like its computer generated stencils, and I know absolutely nothing about all of that technology, but think it looks like such a worthwhile investment (for example, your bricks on the Hip Hop How To, I can't imagine hand cutting each brick and placing it by hand.) So I was just wondering if you could talk a little bit about your process for this. I've been airbrushing for a long time, and I really think that you could be the very best airbrush artist on earth. But I know there is always some unknown person working out of their garage thats totally awesome. But you just blow my mind with the clean lines from start to finish. I use the bottom feed airbrushes and its cool to see you use them to create such unbelievable work. I do think that I need to switch out my tips and needles more because I have 12 airbrushes and they all seem to have their own unique personalities. Mostly because of clogs,bent needles, and tips that are cracked or burred. Well, I always keep new tips and needles on hand, so I'm switching some of them out tommorow. I really should visit you website everyday before airbrushing. Its great inspiration. Then I import the file into Illustrator, where I convert it into a vector image by either using the pen tool or pencil tool.
